Residents of Tripura Para said that at around 1 am on that day, the residents of Tripura Para were staying in the neighboring area to celebrate the Christmas festival.   161 District- Chandpur Upazila- Matlab Uttar, Keshairkandi Area December 18, 2024 around 10 AM Jahangir Alam Prodhan, general secretary of Chhengarchar municipality unit of BNP, has been accused of extorting Tk 2 lakh from Laxman Chandra Das, 45, a fisherman of the fishing community, and looting fish worth Tk 50 lakh from his pond. He filed a written complaint with the police in this regard. On the spot, the body of Sukumar Das was found hanpinp from a rope with a manpo tree beside the pond beside his house. Son Jhantu Das said his father could not commit suicide. District- Dinajpur Upazila- Birampur Sandalpur village of Khanpur union No. 3. 21 September, 24 12 pm Chaiti Pahan (35) called her husband's mobile phone and informed him that she is cominp home from the factory. It was late afternoon and Chaiti's mobile phone was found switched off by her husband Suren Pahan. Her husband thought he might not come today. The next day, people got the news that the body of a woman was lyinp on the edge of the forest. Suren Pahan went there and identified the body of Chaiti recovered from a paddy field in the forest. He used to work in the spinning department of Messrs Lovely Jute Mills Limited in Rajarampur area of Phulbari municipality.   133 District- Dinajpur Upazila- Birampur Katla Union's Moyna Mor. 23 Nov, 2024 9 am Police have recovered the body of a tribal woman from a paddy field in Birampur. The deceased has been identified as Vrishni Pahan (55). She is the daughter of late Sadhan Pahan. Relatives of the deceased said that on Friday morning, Brishni went to harvest paddy and did not return home. The next day, locals saw the body lying in paddy field and informed police. Later, police reached the spot and recovered the body. Police said there were injury marks on the neck and body of the deceased. Initially, it is believed that she was strangled to death.   146 District- Dinajpur Upazila- Ghoraghat Kalupara Pitanigacha Village December 3, 2024 The miscreants killed Bharat Chandra Das (55) in a planned manner and took away his autovan. Bharat Chandra left home with a van on the afternoon of December 2. He did not return home that night. His family members searched for him but could not find him. The next morning, a man saw his body lying in a manpo orchard. On information, police recovered the body. Police suspect that Bharat Chandra was killed elsewhere and later dumped here. The incident took place at Bhanga Bazar Sarbajanin Hari Mandir in Gurpatti area and Bhanga Sarbajanin Kali Mandir in front of Bhanga police station. Sujit Saha, a resident of the area adjacent to Hari Mandir, said that the next morning, he came to the temple to pay obeisance and saw that the idol was vandalized.   87 District- Gaibandha Upazila-Gobindaganj Raja Bazaar. 26 October, 24 Morning A human chain programme was held in Rajavirat Bazar against the construction of houses and shops by encroaching the land of Shri Shri Madan Mohan Jiu Vipraha Mandir. Balai Chandra Barman, advisor of the temple committee, said that there is about 14 acres of deity property in the name of Madan Mohan Jeu Bigraha Temple, which is recognized as the 5,000-year-old traditional Rajabirat Dham. Local influential people have built houses and shops by occupying this land.
